But the challenges of off-grid living go far beyond that. The location in the forest means that there are mosquito infestions and huge temperature differences between day and night.
Shelter Dome handled everything:- Use compression strips to secure the inner skirting to the dome platform, ensuring absolute airtight protection from pests.

Fortunately, our domed homes do not live up to the faith. We installed the insulation layer interior which consists of a layer of canvas and a layer of aluminum foil bubble. The internal air bubbles are filled with a gas with low thermal conductivity and are fire retardant and insulated.
